Danger doggie is almost fully healed!!!  Fur has covered scars and everything. We just need some more support to pay for his operations.

I know it has been a little over a week since I last posted anything. I have been trying to raise funds for Danger puppy’s vet bills. Please support us and please pass word around. We need as much help as we can get.

He’s home! – I apologize for not updating as much. I am trying to get things all situated, doing job interviews and what not and trying to get over this cold. Danger is home. I actually brought him home last night. He’s doing great! He’s a little stiff right now, but all of his scabs are filling in with fur and most everything is healed up, he has a couple places where stitches will need to dissolve but other than that he’s doing pretty good. He’s been sticking beside me quite a bit, he had to re-smell and lick everything in here when he got in, hahaha.

I am so grateful for the support and for the care the vet has given danger. They truly did some amazing work with him. He nearly looks as if nothing happened.

I want to thank you all for your continued support. I really appreciate it, your generosity, especially in this economy, really is appreciated.

I might be putting my macbook pro up for sale here within the next week or so. I can’t see any other way to raise funds, so I don’t know how much I’ll be able to update after that. I’ll have my iPod touch and that’s about it for internet connectivity.

I just got back from the vet today and Danger is doing fantastic! The doc said he might be able to come home tomorrow or Saturday!! A lot of his scabs have actually come off he’s healed really well. He still has some stitches and soft spots and scabs here and there, but for the most part he’s looking fairly normal. Like his good ole self! Which is great. I am really grateful for the service the vet has given danger and I.

I just wanted to share the great news with you all!

Firstly, I want to apologize for not updating this week. I have been sick all week and I haven’t been able to update this blog as much as I wanted to. I am feeling better now, so I’ll update you all on the status of Danger.

I have been seeing Danger for the last couple weeks and he has been doing great. He had one surgery last week and he’s doing better. One of his sutures got a little infected. I think I mentioned that in my last blog post. They put him on some general antibiotics to help with the infection and everything.  He is healing pretty good now.  The doctor said he should be able to come home next week!

I am getting pretty excited to see him home, it’s been lonely here. I am glad he is doing better. Danger looks like he’s on the road to recovery. Please wish him well.

Went to see danger today. He’s doing quite a bit better, he is getting his strength back and he’s able to stand up well enough now they have begun to walk him around a bit. He tries to wag his tail but you can tell it hurts him to do so. His skin is pretty tight still, a lot of the swelling has gone down and they were able to put his sutures back in.

The vet talked to me about the bills and paying for his surgeries and visits. Looks like it’s going to be about $1,500 instead of the $2,200 I was told of at first. I updated the pledge amount on Pledgie. We still need your help though. All we need is at least 1,000 people to give us a dollar or two and we’ll be well on our way.

Don’t feel bad if you only give us pocket change, it’s better than nothing and it all helps!

Danger puppy is doing a little bit better. I went to see him today and things are getting a little better, but we have also hit a fork in the road to his recovery. The doc said he appears to have an infection in a couple of his wounds.  The doctor said that Danger might have scraped some of his sutures on the kennel or with his claws. So the vet has trimmed and disinfected his claws and gave him some antibiotics. They are waiting for the swelling to go down a little bit before they try to stitch him back up.  He was very groggy today.  He is still eating about the same the nurse told me. He was a little wobbly when trying to stand, he looks very tired and worn out.  I hope he’s sleeping well.  The doc said he should recover fine, he’s just going through some tough times.  They are going to keep him for a couple more weeks before he can come home. Please keep him in your mind.  Danger  needs all the help we can give him.

I went to see Danger today. He’s doing a bit better, he’s scabbing over on a couple of his wounds. The vet is going to operate on him on Monday. One of his sutures is kind of leaking, we’re going to watch it to make sure it doesn’t get infected. He’s slowly getting up and being able to move a little. He’s still really groggy though. The nurse / assistant said that he’s eating, not as normal as he should be, but he’s been eating.

The doc said he looks like he’ll heal up just fine after a couple more surgeries. Let’s hope. I’ll keep you all updated.

Two days ago my recently rescued puppy dog Danger was attacked by another dog (German Sheppard) while out and about. The dog basically came out of nowhere. I didn’t see him / her coming at all. I don’t think Danger did either. Yes, his name is Danger. Unfortunate name to have as of right now. Poor guy didn’t know what was happening. Neither did I until it was all over. He didn’t even have a chance to defend himself. The other dog came out of the bushes, attacked Danger, and then ran away, it was near instant.

I was able to get Danger to the local animal hospital. He was / is in bad shape. He has chunks taken out of his back, neck, legs, lips. Honestly it looks like someone took a knife to his flesh and cut him, the bites are so clean, it doesn’t look natural.

The doctors are worried about nerve damage. Right now he doesn’t seem to exhibit any signs of nerve damage but it’s a possibility. Mostly to the tissue and not actual spinal injuries, they took xrays and there were no signs of damage to the bones or muscles in his back, just some swelling from being bitten so hard, so his spinal cord is intact and unharmed.

I just recently adopted Danger. He came from an abusive background. I was able to rescue him and he has been such a great pal. I cannot let him suffer any more. If things get too severe there was talk about euthanasia, but I know for a fact things will not come to that. Danger is strong, he has been through it before, he will pull through. I know it. I will not put him down unless it is 100% necessary, if he will not survive any other way. I know he will survive though. He is mighty.

There is only one problem. I cannot pay for his surgeries. I was currently laid off from my job. My savings have depleted due to losing my job.  I need your help to raise funds for Danger.  The vets are operating on Danger. I need to pay to make him better.  If you could kindly donate to his fund, we would both be very grateful.
